In consideration of current information and events related to COVID-19 including guidance from medical experts such as the CDC, and in coordination with public authorities in the cities of Tulsa and Broken Arrow, the Indian Nations Football Conference has made the decision to suspend 7v7 league play through the spring 2020 season.
Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, the league was already in discussions on possible changes and/or updates the program might adopt for the 2020 season. Some of these plans are still within the scope of discussion for the season and will be debated at the annual club members meeting on April 8th assuming our availabilities to do so.
At this time, we are all approached with a level of uncertainty and doubt moving forward. Over the next few days and weeks we will continue to receive additional information on the virus. We will take this information into account as we continue to make decisions on the upcoming football season. As for now, this will only affect our 7v7 season throughout the spring. We have no plans of this virus negatively affecting the fall of 2020 and expect the fall football season will proceed as normal.
