INDIAN NATIONS FOOTBALL CONFERENCE
FLAG FOOTBALL DIVISION
The Indian Nations Football Conference flag football league consists of Boys & Girls flag teams ranging from various football member organizations competing against like teams in grades ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grades in co-ed and from Kindergarten to 7th grade in the girls league. The rules of the leagues are formed and governed by the members of the Indian Nations Football Conference under the directive of the flag football membership and the commissioner of Indian Nations Youth Sports. League rules were designed & formulated to assist football member organizations with a need to encompass additional tiers within their vertical approach and integration models. Paramount to maintaining the qualities of recreational sports, the INFC Flag Football league is a developmental league designed to introduce the principles of football in a fun, friendly, & competitive environment.
The need for an organic approach to the sport of football was born from declining numbers in the sport, field availability issues, the inclusion of the vertical approach to sports and other various social, economic & cultural issues youth football organizations face.
With an approach & understanding of the issues, along with the knowledge of running both large & small multi-grade & competitive level league sports for decades, the INFC designed the rules in a way that allow a young football player to understand the key components of football. From Offense to Defense, aspects of the box, line & end play, to 10-yard 1stdowns before touchdowns, the INFC has highlighted the sub psychological portions of the game to help coaches advance the football IQ & confidence of the athlete. We have integrated this approach knowing athletes develop and evolve in different ways, at different speeds, and at different skill sets.
As the program, child athlete & the young sport of flag football continue to grow & evolve, the Indian Nations Football Conference will seek to continually support the development of our athletes & the game through the steadfast management, creation & refinement of our rules, leagues, conferences, & programs upon our members requests.
Participation, uniforms, & fees within the INFC flag football program are ran through member programs. For the 2026 season, conference programs are Berryhill, Bixby, Broken Arrow, Glenpool, Jenks, Owasso, Sapulpa, & Tulsa Legacy. Teams &/or individuals interested in participation in flag football would need to contact a current or closest INFC member club or program.
