INFC FLAG FOOTBALL

The INFC Flag Football League provides boys and girls with an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of football in a fun, friendly, and competitive environment. Boys and girls compete against like teams from INFC member organizations, with boys’ teams ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade and the girls’ league from Kindergarten through 7th grade.

The league is governed by the Indian Nations Football Conference (INFC) under the direction of its flag football membership and the Commissioner of Indian Nations Youth Sports. League rules are designed to provide member organizations with additional developmental tiers while supporting a natural, vertically integrated pathway for athletes.

Developing Football IQ

The INFC Flag Football League was developed in response to declining participation, field availability challenges, and the social, economic, and cultural factors affecting youth football. Our goal is to create an accessible entry point that introduces young athletes to the fundamental concepts of football while maintaining the qualities of recreational youth sports.

INFC rules intentionally teach core football concepts—including offense, defense, box and line play, and 10-yard first downs—while introducing athletes to the structure and strategy of the game. This approach helps coaches build football IQ, confidence, and fundamental skills while recognizing that athletes develop at different ages, speeds, and skill levels.

As the sport and its athletes continue to grow, the INFC will continually evaluate and refine its rules, leagues, and programs in response to the needs of our member organizations and the athletes they serve.

Participation, uniforms, and fees are administered through individual INFC member programs. For the 2026 season, participating programs include:
