Kicking & Punting

Kicknation

KICK NATION’S guiding principles are to teach, train and mentor kickers, punters and snappers all across the country with effective hands on approach. With 27 years of combined experience in playing and coaching, Chris Shaw and Clinton Greathouse have put their stamp on the special teams world. Not Only have they trained some of the current and past All-Americans, Lou Groza and Ray guy award finalists, as well as current 2008 Ray Guy Award Winner MATT FODGE of OKLAHOMA STATE; Chris and Clinton have been hands on in the college coaching world doing several D1 camps, clinics and chalk talks all over the country, hence the name KICK NATION.

Paul Smith broke and still holds the two most prolific passing records in Oklahoma high school football by throwing for over 3,800 yards his senior year at Owasso High School and over 9,500 yards in his career.  He attended The University of Tulsa on a football scholarship and broke 11 TU, 6 Conference USA, and 3 NCAA records while being named the Most Valuable Player of 3 consecutive bowl games.  At the conclusion of his senior year Paul was awarded with the Wuerffel Trophy, given to “the college football player who best combines exemplary community service with outstanding athletic and academic achievement.”  Also thriving in the classroom, Paul was a 2-time Academic All-American, Conference USA Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and finished with a 3.86 GPA in Communications and Marketing.  Paul fulfilled his lifelong dream of playing quarterback in the NFL while spending a year and a half with the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Paul is currently the Assistant Chaplain at Sharp Chapel on TU’s campus.
